BioI am complete with contradictions.
I am a veterinary technician, currently living in Anchorage, Alaska. I moved up here from Kansas in July '07. I was born and raised in NE Kansas, namely Denison and Holton, did move back to Holton for a while after I graduated from college the first time. I have lived something of a nomadic life though, since I graduated high school in '93. Places I have lived since are: Midway, KY; Brentwood, NY; Colby, KS; Omaha, NE; Del Norte, South Fork, Glenwood Springs, CO; Spokane, WA; Kansas City, MO; Manhattan, KS.
My apartment is cozy with 2 cats (Pashti and Chivas), a corn snake (Manasa), and 2 chihuahuas (Fredie and Tuck). ETA (5/09) a foster cat (Astro).
I have always been obsessed with orchids, but just finally brought some into my house, recently been convinced that they weren't that hard to grow. So far I haven't killed any. ETA: Ok, so 1 has died. Apparently my house and lighting situation isn't right for Vandas. ETA (1/31/09): Another one bites the dust.
I am a solitary practioner of Wicca.
I like to crochet, but mostly during cool months.
I love music, but depending on my mood, can be extremely picky about what I listen to at that time. I can listen to about anything, but haven't been able to get opera yet.
I've recently become obsessed with Supernatural. I don't have cable tv, and my computer's audio has gone to crap. So I asked a friend,![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
aerynsun21, to do "commentary" until I could get a different ipod to download this season's episodes to, happened just in time for 04.05. She did an awesome job though. Otherwise I don't miss tv that much. I keep up with BBC's Robin Hood (maybe not anymore since the end of S2), The Tudors, and Grey's Anatomy on DVD. (Netflix is one of my "friends".) I tend not to get excited about shows until they are in their later seasons. I love Buffy, so much so that I called in "sick" to work for the series finale. But didn't start watching it until mid season 4 I think, actually looked down my nose at it before, then got hooked and repeatedly kicked myself in the ass. ETA (1/19/09): I went ahead and downloaded an episode of Leverage last night, and think I'm hooked on this to! ETA (2/14/09): And with the return of Whedon to Fox with Dollhouse, I am excited.
